This epoxy primer is a two pack polyamide-cured, air drying, high build product with zinc phosphate pigment.
Features of Epoxy Based Zinc Phosphate Primer:
- Primer for ferrous and non-ferrous metals made of epoxy
- You can spray a film up to 400 microns thick in one coat
- Water and corrosion resistance in a saline atmosphere and industrial environment
- Wet and flow characteristics are good
- Primer for tank lining systems
- Surfaces can be topped with conventional coatings
Surface Preparation and Substrate Condition of Epoxy Based Zinc Phosphate Primer:
- Rust, loose scale, mill scale must be removed from the surface; best results can be achieved by sandblasting to Sa 2, or by cleaning using power tools to St 3.
- There must be at least three degrees Celsius above dew point, but no higher than fifty degrees Celsius.
Mixing of Epoxy Based Zinc Phosphate Primer:
Separately stir the base and hardener to get a uniform mixture. Add hardener to the base slowly while stirring constantly to ensure a quick and homogeneous mixture.
- Mixing ratio: Base : Hardener :: 3 :1(v/v)
- Induction time: 30 minutes
- Pot life at 30 degrees Celsius: 8 hours
